DARVY Readiness Assessment

One place to understand what is happening, what is missing, what needs attention now, and what should happen next.

A clear starting point when aging, inheritance, property, and family responsibilities are increasingly landing with you.

This is for you if

  • You are beginning to take on more responsibility for a parent's finances, home, paperwork, appointments or professionals, and no one has a complete picture.
  • A hospitalization, fall, diagnosis, death of a spouse or move may have accelerated the need to get organized.
  • A parent or spouse has died and the family is trying to understand assets, documents, responsibilities, and property.
  • A trust or estate includes property and multiple beneficiaries, and nobody wants to manage the coordination.
  • Your family has professionals, but no one is coordinating the whole situation.

What you receive

  • Family Situation MapWhat is happening, who is at the center of it, and what matters most right now.
  • People & Stakeholder MapFamily members, beneficiaries, professionals, and who needs to be kept informed.
  • Authority & Role MapWho is identified as holding a role or authority, the source supporting it, and what still requires professional confirmation.
  • Asset & Property OverviewKnown accounts, insurance, property, business interests, and major obligations.
  • Missing, Mismatch & Risk ListWhat is absent, what does not reconcile, and what needs attention or professional review now.
  • Decision-Readiness MapWhich decisions are approaching, and what has to be established before each can be made.
  • Professional Question ListThe specific questions belonging with your attorney, CPA, advisor, fiduciary, or care professional.
  • 30 / 90 / 365-Day Action PathWhat happens now, next, and later, sequenced, with an owner for each item.
  • Review sessionWe walk through the assessment, the open questions, and who is doing what.

How it works

  1. A short conversation, so we both know whether this is the right fit.
  2. A structured intake, and you upload whatever documents you already have.
  3. We organize the situation, verify what can be verified, and identify what is missing or does not reconcile.
  4. You receive the written assessment, and we walk through it together.

Start with what you have.

You do not need to find everything before beginning. Most families cannot, and working out what is missing is a large part of what you are paying us for.

Unknown is a useful answer on our intake form.

$995 Fixed fee. No hourly billing, and no fee that depends on what your family decides to do.

Readiness Assessments are available remotely. When a situation requires state-specific legal, tax, fiduciary, medical, or other professional judgment, that work stays with the appropriate licensed or authorized professional.

Situations with several properties or several beneficiaries sometimes belong in Readiness + Coordination rather than the assessment alone. We will tell you that on the first call rather than after you have paid.

DARVY is currently accepting a limited number of Readiness Assessment families as we refine the service.

After the assessment

A Readiness Assessment does not obligate a family to buy anything else.

Some families take the action path and move forward on their own. Others choose one of two ways to continue.

DARVY Transition Advisory

Given what we now know, what are the realistic paths and tradeoffs?

Typically $1,500–$3,500, project-based depending on scope.

Practical, experienced thinking alongside the family. Depending on scope this can include:

  • One or two structured advisory sessions
  • Realistic paths or scenarios, with tradeoffs and dependencies
  • Sequencing what should happen first, next, and later
  • Preparation for family conversations
  • The facts still needed before a decision can be made
  • Questions prepared for attorneys, CPAs, fiduciaries, advisors, care professionals, insurers, or property professionals
  • Property-path discussion without assuming a sale
  • A refined 30 / 90 / 365-day action path and concise written follow-up

DARVY does not make legal, tax, fiduciary, investment, medical, or brokerage decisions.

Readiness + Coordination

Help us keep it moving.

Custom scope.

For families who want DARVY to stay involved after the path is clear. Depending on the situation this can include:

  • Coordinating professional follow-up
  • Tracking information requests and dependencies
  • Preparing meetings and keeping family members appropriately informed
  • Following up on agreed next steps
  • Coordinating appropriate handoffs, including property logistics when needed

Scoped to the situation. Not unlimited project management.

Local property support may be scoped within Readiness + Coordination when a situation needs someone physically on the ground. Currently available in San Diego, Orange, and San Francisco counties.

We organize, prepare, coordinate, track, and help move the situation forward. We do not replace your attorney, CPA, financial advisor, fiduciary, healthcare professional, or other licensed professional. Regulated advice and decisions stay with the appropriate licensed or authorized person.
